I agree, thought or wish is good. If it is a thought/wish it would start with "I wish" , "I believe" or �I think� etc. His sentence starts with a rumor. Starting a rumor with the intension of misleading people is not good. His/her intensions are very clear.

Friends , Just wanted to let you know that Infopass at Detroit local office is total waste of time. Today morning I had infopass appointment ( EB2-I 2004 ) .IO officer told us that they are not allowed to give any information regarding name check due to security reasons. Also IO told us that 1-800 number CR are trying to get rid of us hence they send us to Infopass at local office but local office has got instructions not to reveal any information about I-485 employment based cases.
So much for transparent and fair law in USA and american dream ..:mad::mad::mad:

Paying little extra for few months is better than remaining uninsured. Check with your employer and health insurance if there is a pre-existing condition clause for maternity. Usually, there is none and in that case you can take a cheaper individual plan for now to cover for office visits (and pay discounted rates for those as most of them will count against deductible in any decently priced plan you choose) and later shift to employer plan as delivery time gets closer. But one thing to keep in mind is that usually depending on employer size and health insurance company you choose, declaring current status as pregnant may add more premium later.

H1-B folks are permitted to have sources of passive income from entities other than their H1 sponsor. In order to get EB1 visa via L1 visa route I believe you need to be on L1 at present and also hold a senior manager level position in your multinational company and command good salary. If you want to try for EB1 proving yourself to be extraordinary, then you need to satisfy at least 3 criterias mentioned in another post on this thread. This kind of EB1 catagory is very tough and unless you can really prove that you are a genious and extraordinary, its not worth spending money.

I presume the above is what you are referring to. My wife (on H4) and I (on H1B) are planning to fly to India later this year on Lufthansa. Both of our Visas have expired although we hold valid H extension approval notices. Will we need transit visas or will the above rule apply? Any body with experience of similar situation?

DON'T throw away, rather keep your I-94, as you never know, until you get citizenship, what documents you may need to show in which circumstances varifying legal status leading to GC... It is just a word of caution not to discard the I-94 but to archive safely, but he is right that we should not give it to airline official....

I applied for renewal on May 19th. My EAD expires on August 23. So, I guess I'll have to follow your renewal process to see if mine will arrive in time.
If you are working on EAD and if you do not get your new ead 10 days prior to the expiry of the old one please take an infopass and they will email the IO working on it to approve. Couple of my friends did that and got their approvals in a day or two.

I think most of the HR folks may not know what is an EAD. So they may fear EAD is some kind of illegal thingie and deny job. It is best to just say I am authorized work in the US and no further explanation need to be given.
Today at Boeing interview event I got very good offer. The HR lady congratulated me, kept offer letter in my hand. Then I told her that I'm an EAD holder. All my fear came true, and she said a big sorry and said EAD is not acceptable at any cost. Also she said, she can keep the offer in hold for me for 5 months. How can I expect green card in hand in 5 months. GOD don't give this situation to any one. just trying to reduce my pain here...

2. Get another one-way return ticket.
Work out a cost difference and decide! for sure, you need to furnish a proof at the port of entry that you will be returning to home country, one of the proofs would be your return ticket.
