A quick question for all you experts out there
My wife is on H4 right now and I am on H1, though we got our EAD last year, but I am still using my H1 and not used my EAD yet, So is it possible to apply for Social Security for my wife, will applying for Social Security Number, considered as using EAD and H1 becomes void.

Aha I see ... yes she can stay in the US beyond the I-94 date as long as the extension application is pending. From the postings i can recollect that in case of a denial the unlawful presence starts from the decision date.
also if you get denial stamp no longer be valid. This is what I also read online.

I am in the similar situation too. I don't have my Labor approval copy and I changed my job using AC21. Now I am trying to change my attorney since my ex employee's attorney will not talk to me and all the RFEs will still go to him unless I file a G-28 form. But all the attorneys I talked to is asking for that LCA form from my previous employer.
My question to you is are you able to find an attorney to represent you since you changed the job?..
Inthehole, can you be little bit elaborate, what job code you filled in AC21, how did you know that if you don’t have your Labor copy.

When it comes to the community organizing and support activities for the comprehensive immigration reform legislation, there are hundreds of organizations that organize, network, and mobilize the immigrants in support of the issues involving the difficult issues of legalization of illegal aliens. However, the same is not true with the employment-based immigration reform issues. The lobbying and organizing and support of these issues rely heavily on the employers, businesses, and academic institutions such as competeamerica. Without doubt, the employers should be the most effective and powerful groups to pressure the Congress, President, and other players in the political process.
However, it is time that the immigrants themselves also participate in a similar effort to share information, issues, and supporting activities. Obviously, the first move is to organize and build a network throuhout the nation and the world, and along with the networking, other support activities must be conducted and expanded. There are not too many immigrant groups that are focused on the employment-based immigration reform issues. Currently, a website of www.immigrationvoice.org is launching this campaign and attempting to organize and network in the employment-based immigrant communities. This reporter urges the foreign professional workers to visit and join this group to help an activities of side-kick from the standpoint of stakeholder foreign workers in support of the employers and their support groups. Now because all embassies and consulates required to use PIMS to verify your H1B status... sometimes takes several weeks to get the passport stamped. In my case takes 3 weeks after interview to get my passport back (embassy at Lima, Peru).
So beware of the timing

If I'm not mistaken, PD is only linked to your I-140 receipt notice as it is specifically for labor authorization / certification.

I am in the exact same situation. I have already filed I-140/I-485 concurrently with the substituted labor. Now the dates are current I am filling another I-485 with my approved I-140. There is nothing wrong in what we are doing, as long we explain about the earlier filling and clarify the motive of the second filling. Eventually we should withdraw one of the two based on the outcome of substituted labor/I-140.

Working full time on EAD with GC Employer (planning to port job and use AC21 as soon as there is any opportunity)
485 pending since more than 6 months

As long as you are working full time with your GC employer and in addition to this you are doing a part time job on 1099 , it will not effect your GC processing in any way.

I would wait it out if I were you. Why the risk at this stage?
Risk/Benefit analysis is not in favour of anything but staying put if you ask me.
What if in the 8-9 months it will take to get to this stage, the EB3 date skips forward, worse yet what if they take a hard stand on conversion cases due to the number they are seeing and you get denied.
It all depends of course on your personal circumstances, but I can't see the logic in it.

I met with a potential client who is an illegal immigrant living in the US. She has a child who is a US citizen. The father was voluntarily deported and the mother gave him permission to take the child back to their home country to visit the grandparents. The father was supposed to make sure the child returned to the US within 3 months. It has been 6 months. If my client files an application under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, will the US Government begin deportation proceedings?

Are you using "Save for web"? That removes the EXIF, use "Save as..." instead.

If its few months of outside work.. should be fine... But you can't and should not just leave and work outside until you get GC.. May work, but chances are rare.. So risk is up to you to take and decide...
