The Office of the Ombudsman is usually best addressed through 'non named' communication. By nature of the profession, Ombudsmen as neutral third parties and hence influence greater effects without direct name association. This is a technicality in the ADR/mediation profession.
For those who'd be more comfortable addressing Mr. , by all means no harm, no foul.
In any case, the Office of the Ombudsman in this can can be a POWERFUL resource because it can enable the Govt and USCIS Officials to take corrective action and place motivation on the Ombudsman instead of themselves. Thats how most bureaucracies work, find the person to pin the tail on and play the game.

Hi,
I applied I-485,EAD,Advance Parole on July 20,2007 but i have not yet received any receipt number as of now.
During that time I could not able to apply for my wife. She will be coming to USA on H4 visa in the mid of October.
what are the possibilities to include her in my greencard process?
Please educate me on this situation to take care of my wife's greencard process with my GC process and also please share your experiances if some one has similar kind of situation.
My Case Details
Labour Filed (Perm)--------------------------> Jan-2006
Labour Approved -----------------------------> April-2006
I-140 Filed -----------------------------------> Aug-2006
I-140 Approved --------------------------------> November 2006
I-485 applied only for myself --------------> July 20,2007

I have a question, on 25 june i got a RFE, i have not received it yet neither did my lawyer. The case status shows that both me and my wife got the RFE. I think its most probaly to produce the Birth Certificate.
My wife BC is in the process and i think i will be able to get it by the end of the week.
My question is that if i am unable to get the BC of my wife in time, is it possible to buy some more days from USCIS. I am not an attorney but questions related to your employer etc should not be asked if you enter on AP. They are more focused on those questions when one enters using a work visa of some sorts. I suggest you enter asap using your AP given that it expires in a month get your green card in hand and then you are free man. You can even go back work out of the country for a limited time until you find a project here. By the way congratulations.

I finished my three years residency on H1B visa and am currently working as a chief resident in my program on h1b visa extension which is valid till June 2011. My H1b visa was cap exempt as its a not for profit hospital affiliated with the university.
The CEO of the hospital recently told me that they are very interested in retaining me in their hospital. But one month back my hospital was purchased by a for profit group though the residency program was retained by not for profit group , and hospital is now for profit.My question to you is-
1. Can my hospital file for my PERM and subsequently for GC while I am still doing chief residency on cap exempt visa and technically a part of residency program which is cap exempt?
2. Will i need a new H1b process with the hospital as it has changed from cap exempt to cap status as it is no longer non profit?
3.My prospective employment date will be June 19 2011 as till then I will be working as chief resident, so what would be the earliest date for filing the PERM and H1b application

Hello,
My Present H1B stamp is with company A and expires November 20 2007. Now I'm with company B and with this I have my petetion (H1B approval) which expires June 20 2008. Now I'm travelling to India for my marriage and coming back September 8. I'm not getting the new stamp this time. Will I have any problem during the immigration ??
Also with my present papers, my wife would be attending her visa Interview on Sep 4. Will there be any problem for her at the interview ???

If the query was regarding ur salary which the prospective company is gonna give it would have made sense. But why would ur hubby's salary matter to them for approvin ur H1 is still don't understand.:(

If your card gets approved while you are out of the country i.e. US, and you dont have AP i had read earlier that it is considered as an abandonment. The sole purpose of AP is to provide you to get in and out of US while on AOS period.
Did u check with your company Attorney?

I'm curious if anyone has got multiple RFEs on their I-485 application. I had an EVL RFE last year and wonder about the chances they'll give that (or any other) RFEs again in future.
Any personal experiences?
By multiple RFE I don't mean many questions in 1 RFE letter. I mean USCIS sends you 1 RFE, receives reply and resumes the case and then at a later point in time sends another RFE on the same application.

I got soft LUD on my and my wife 485 on 02/10/2009
I called USCIS they said , it is an batch update - no information they can provide. I am not sure what it means.
