NOPE.
Earlier democrats had a reason of not getting things done [Bush's veto, filibuster...etc.etc]
Now nothing will get done, and they will have no reasons.

so, i am interested to know more about your self-employment status. so you saying that you actually worked for your own company when the 485 was adjudicated? so, they did not ask you any questions about that? no rfe? no raised eyebrows? that is cool! how was it? please share!
That is possible. It is like working with any other company. This not exactly self-employment, we (myself +my wife) have created own corporation with my wife has president and me as employee (Both of us have EAD). So then start working for that company. No need to inform USCIS, it is like working with any other company. Again i am still working in same or simlar job description per Labor/I140. It is verymuch legal and we are paying taxes too!!! .

USCIS Looks at I-94 you entered on the I-485 application.
You must enter the latest I-94 number on the I-485, which is the one you get when you enter US on Aug 15th.
That's the basis for them to track your status in US.

We need a few catchy words to put in a community newsletter. This is for people who don't know about IV. It has to be something that will make people click on the text and come to IV website.
Here are a few suggestions I have got so far:

"Please join Immigration Voice and participate actively in the Administrative Fix campaign"
"If you are in this country legally, prepare for getting whacked"
"Is GREEN CARD holding up your future and career? - Liberate yourself by participating in the Administrative Fix campaign done by Immigration Voice.
Come on guys.. let your creative juices flow.. but keep it very short.

Hi,
My first NIW/I140 was concurrent filed with I485 for both my wife and me. When they denied I140, the USCIS also denied I485s for both of us. I have a pending MTR for that I140.
While the MTR was pending, I filed another NIW/I140, which was approved. I noticed that the approval notice has the A# that was on the I485 of the first petition.
So, should I assume that my the USCIS has interfiled my I485 automatically and my old PD is active?

Please note that:
1. Unemployment benefits is not a public charge.
2. For getting unemployment benefits one need not be a citizen/permanent resident.
3. You don't acquire illegal stay if you have a valid I-485 pending.
Please read relevant FAQs at the USCIS webpage.
Don't rely on advices from ignorants who try to scare people!

I'm in a similar predicament as well. I'm on EAD and 485 is pending, can I claim unemployment benefits?
Only problem is that, it will become a documented proof of your current unemployment. Otherwise it is just insurance. Dependents can go that safely. Primary I am not sure.

well this will not no problems if I only knew what criminal record i have on my records. DWI is not a big enough crime to make in admissible. If it was, then they would reject my visa application 3 years ago. They have approved extensions form before with that record. I now have baby boy. he is citizen and I just cant take the risk of taking him to Pakistan. Its just too risky. Som much is happeing there. Bomb blast here bomb blast there. My lawyer is going to use this in his appeal. I just simply am not willing to take that chance. I really dont want to travel.. I just need H1 extension approved here. All they hve to do is bring the extension from Isalamabd and send it to me.

I think it will stay where it is now for this quarter.....just my guess. Then for the last quarter, we may see some advancement.....again this is my guess.
I think we will move even more now. Looking at how premium processing is not back, and how many approvals have come on , USCIS may not have approved as many visas as they had hoped. instead of having another highly visible wastage of visa numbers dates will move big-time and lots of people with later PDs, but who have simpler cases will get approvals fast.

Please go through the stuff for the last one year plus from immigration.com on PERM processing, need to look at each entry in the diferenet excel sheets, it is not consistent from the data perspective (we all have our regular work too :-) ) so cannot pull up URLs for you, the above site is the pointer, please do your homework too :-) - Since you are really interested in specifics, appreciate if you can get this directly, it will take you couple of hours at the very least to get this data.

It seems like earlier there used to be a certainty with the CIR. The news over the past few days is indicating that this certainty no longer exists.
As I have suggested before, does it make sense to close our eyes to all other options and just concentrate on CIR? If the CIR does happen, great! If not, what then? We're left empty handed once again. It would be prudent to continue to work on the smaller bills that will help alleviate the problems.
The way to go at this huge problem is to attack it piecemeal. Take small bites and keep furthering our agenda in small steps. Small successes will improve participation from this community, generate momentum and help our cause.
