Although I need my passport desperately, I dont want to spend a fortune on a last min. flight or drive for 16 hours, just to hear that I did not wait for 8 weeks as I am supposed or that I can only receive it through mail. Unless I am 100% confident that I will get it, I do not want to go there, atleast not till the end of February. Especially, I dont want to go there in depseration and pay $150 for the tatkaal.The employees neither justlify their salaries nor the positions they hold which were primarily meant for helping Indians in US.

I personally believe, that just being an Embassy somewhat explains the delays in DC office but clearly, it does not justify the attitiude of the employees there.

I would like to know some details about EB3.
Currently the priority date for EB3 India is May�01.
My PD is Mar�2004.
When no reforms happen, how long approximately it will take to reach my PD.
I know it is based on how many people applied, yearly and per country limit. Can any one guess or possibly know how we can find about these details about movement such that how many people applied, if it goes on the same speed then how long it will take to move from one year to next year. Can anyone guess?

Yep, just passed level III , today. Now will start applying for the charter.

Let me start off by saying this is simply not the right forum for such discussions. You are better off using monster.com or some other job related sights.
As far as changing the fields go, assuming you have the authorization to work - you can change. But QA jobs these days are hard to come by and mostly happens in different countries and most of the existing jobs have been bangalored. And an effective QA job requires some kind of experience in the software development or related field. A non effective QA job is simply testing and chances of you retaining the job for more than 2 years is very slim. The thinking behind that is a more person gets involved with testing, the more he/she understands the testing and less rigorous the testing becomes.
SAP courses are good once you understand the nuts and bolts. But its challenging and requires you to have lots of people skills and ability to convince people that their business must run per SAP and not viceversa. Hope that helps. Good luck.

This has been bugging me for a while now. I applied for I-485 in July 2007.
I do not have copies of all H1 approval notices ever issued. I do not have all of my I-94s ever issued.
Per attorney's recommendation, I applied for duplicate copies of I-797 but that will take a few months.
I am wondering what I can do if USCIS asks for all I-797s and I-94s since first ever entry to prove that I have always been in the US legally.
Any thoughts.
Don't want to waste anyone's time. If anyone has been in this situation or knows of anyone that was in a situation like this..that would help.
I want to be proactive and get other documents ready if that is what it'll take.

We can say lot of ways how we can proceed but companies are not in a position to listen to us. They are not desi consulting companies, they are american companies. Who will apply to the positions that appear on job posting sites or magazines? whoever qualify to those requirments on positions will apply to those positions. So there is no question of whether they qualify or not. If position is for 5 years exp, ofcourse most of the resumes will have min 5 yrs of exp. Doesnt matter whether you have masters or not.

If someone is asking advice , give it to him professionally. I know, including myself, everyone is frustrated. Quite honestly, most people forget that GC is for the benefit of the company not your benefit. Your benefit just comes along. They have this whole fuckin system because they need people from outside. Not because they love you. It is company that controls GC until you get it. So it is HIS company that is using the tricks of the trade. They can claim that they had lost profit since they did not have a permanent employee for long. All these jumping the queues and rules were framed for the benefit of the company. Not aliens, as they call us.

My strong advice is stay on H1 always. EAD is like a piece of gold plated card. There are many risks associated with it, for example if u r renewal is not done on time, you are nailed, u cannot collect pay, or else it is considered against the law. My company filed my (non-PERM) LC before I joined the company. I was on H1B with another organization. My LC was approved immediately after I joined the company.
I don't know if there is a point at which the person should join the company that has already started processing his/her GC. I know that you can get GC before joining the company processing your GC; for example, if person is not in the country.

Another option... is a soft brush designed for the purpose...
I'm leery of brushes because of the fibers. I have gotten brush fibers into the sensor cavity before and they are a bear to get back out...
